Prerequisites for Item Sharing
Before sharing your smart tracker card, ensure:
- Operating System: Both you and the person receiving access are running iOS 17, iPadOS 17, or later.
- Apple Account: Both users are signed in with two-factor authentication enabled.
- iCloud Contacts: The recipient’s Apple ID email/phone number is saved in your contacts list.
Step-by-Step: How to Share Your Tracker
Step 1: Open the Find My App
Launch the native Find My app on your iPhone or iPad.
Step 2: Select Your Smart Card
Tap the Items tab at the bottom menu bar and select your paired Track Easy Pro card from the list (e.g., “My Wallet” or “Shared Passport Holder”).
Step 3: Initiate Share Item
Scroll down to the section titled Share This Item (or Share AirTag/Tracker) and tap Add Person.
Step 4: Choose Your Contact
- Review the overview screen explaining sharing privileges and tap Continue.
- Type the name, phone number, or Apple ID email of the family member or friend.
- Tap Send in the top-right corner to issue the invitation.
What the Recipient Can (and Cannot) Do
What Shared Members Can Do:
- View Real-Time Location: See the item on their own Apple Maps interface inside the Find My app.
- Play Sound: Ring the card’s loud audio chime to locate it when nearby.
- Mute Tracking Alerts: Prevent iOS safety warnings about an unknown tracker following them.
What Shared Members Cannot Do:
- Transfer Ownership: Only the original owner can unpair or factory reset the device from their Apple ID.

How to Stop Sharing a Tracker
If you no longer want a family member to see your card’s location, revoking access takes just a few taps:
- Open Find My > Items > Select your smart card.
- Tap the shared person’s name under the Share This Item section.
- Tap Stop Sharing, then confirm by tapping Stop Sharing again. Access is instantly revoked.
